"The Retreat"

"The Retreat" is a short film which I created with a small team for the University of Kentucky's 48-Hour Film Race. The short film was later selected and showcased at the 2024 UKY Film Festival. We were assigned a film genre, character archetype, prop, line of dialogue, and visual motif at random, and tasked with creating a full short film using these random elements within the allotted 48-hour time frame. While our five-person team collaborated throughout every stage of the project, we designated specific positions to each member. I led the team through the editing process and also starred in the film. It is a mystery "whodunnit" film that follows social media influencers on a camping trip when they discover one of them has been poisoned. The influencers must survive long enough to uncover the killer among them.
